Prof. Dr.José Machado
José Machado teaches how automation, robotics and control reach the factory floor, and how industrial systems are modelled and simulated before they run. He holds a dual doctorate from the University of Minho and the École Normale Supérieure de Cachan, and a habilitation in mechanical engineering. As Associate Professor at Minho's School of Engineering and Deputy Director of the MEtRICs research centre, he has published more than 250 peer-reviewed journal and conference papers and is Editor-in-Chief of the EAI Transactions on Digital Transformation of Industrial Processes. He coordinates industrial research and technology-transfer projects inside EU research consortia.
